I may be in an exceptionally good mood or I may just know Jim pretty well, but I took this post totally seriously. There IS a good hamster movie waiting to be made. After all, KIA has their entire SOUL marketing campaign based on terrific hamster animation and it's quite entertaining. I saw the first one in a movie theatre not long ago and ALL the kids started singing along...

The original intent was not jokey or chatty, and I for one would be glad to see more "self-promotional" posts - i.e., here's an idea, anyone want to play along?

I don't see anything non legit about this as a movie  / project idea.

There are many (most) posts to this list that are of no interest to me, but I ignore them - except for political, personal attacks etc.

Respectfully,

I've got another, nicer, email to send later, but...

While I'm sure there are a handful of folks that appreciate an occasional jokey self-promotional post, this kind of informal chatty non-discussion drives quite a few people (including myself) kind of crazy - and is a good reason why many good people leave or ignore the list.

Maybe I'm wrong - or just cranky - but I'd prefer that this kind of stuff be on facebook... or anywhere else.

For all the popularity of hamsters (8 million+ Google citations!), no one has ever done a movie called THE HAMSTERS *

I have owned these domain names for years: www.HamstersMovie.com   www.HamstersFilm.com

Anyone interested in pursuing this? Congratulations to New Visions award winners, by the way!
