Job Title: Master Control Operator/Studio Tech

Job Description:  Master Control Operator Encantada TV / Studio Tech

Perform a variety of Master Control duties, such as monitoring cable channels, programming, as well as studio technician for nightly studio shows. Employee will be responsible for learning all operations of the station.


  • Monitoring Cable Channels for audio/video quality.
  • Programming of cable channels.
  • Distribute producers with equipment checkouts and technical issues.
  • Studio and equipment maintenance.
  • Generates quarterly programming reports.
  • Assist programming coordinator with TV Guide inputs.
  • Troubleshoot audio/video studio equipment before and during LIVE programs.
  • Design and input posting for Video Bulletin Board.
  • Work with interns to cover front desk and master control duties.
  • Schedule reservations for users of the facility.
  • Count In/out of LIVE nightly programs.
  • Answering phones and administrative assistance as needed by supervisors.
  • Create Station ID's, Promo, Commercials, and Public Service Announcements.

Tuesday – Thursday 12-8pm

and alternating Saturdays 10-6pm with other master control operators

Skills:  Customer Service Skills is required of all employees


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills that include scheduling software experience as well as Microsoft Office and Photoshop.
  • Editing experience (Final Cut or Adobe Premiere).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of what community access television encompasses.
  • Creativity and self-motivated individual that works with a team of professionals.
