[MISP] Happy Labor Day Weekend (& Google Apps)

***This is a MISP Listserv message. Responses are sent to the list by default.*** ***For more info about MISP and the listserv, scroll to the bottom of the page*** *

Hi everyone...

And first, very best wishes to everyone who's been working and otherwise involved in helping grow our state's film and "media industries".    The general public may not realize it, but for those of us in the community, I think we all know that it's hard work, long hours and usually both.  I hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Afterwards... we'll be under two months to this year's election and only a few months more before our next legislative session, so if you haven't been engaged before... now's a good time to do so.  I think we're confident that if our various leaders are respectful of each other and rely on actual facts, the value of our industry and our community's impact on the state as a whole will be apparent.

On an almost wholly unrelated topic... are you or people you know doing 'App' (software application) development for Google, Android, iPad, iPhone or something else?   A few of our organizations are teaming up to encourage App development that benefits our cities and state as a whole -- so please let me know (off-list @ eric@nmtechcouncil.org) if you're interested.

Best wishes -- and enjoy the holiday!

Eric
