Sounds like you have the free version of Flip4Mac or whatever
extension you are using to convert to convert FCP's Quicktime to
Windows Media. The free version allows WMV playback but not much
conversion. If it is Flip4Mac the easiest thing to do is go to System
Preferences, select Flip4Mac WMV and click the upgrade button. This
will give you some options on which pro version to buy.

If you do not have Flip4Mac you can buy it or a stand alone converter
like Sorenson Squeeze via download.
