According to the Construction Industries Division, State of New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department: electrical tie-ins (I.E.: the temporary connection of an electrical distribution system to the bus bars in an existing electrical service, as per Power Sources) for motion picture and related types of media production are legal in NM but only licensed (EE98) electrical contractors can bid/contract to do this work and the actual installation of all tie-ins have to be either supervised or performed by a licensed (EE98) Journeyman.
